Belmont is a small community on the southeast
corner of the City of Charlottesville. But Charlottesville
developers quickly saw an oppurtunity and began building modern
lofts in Belmont like the above Belmont Lofts. Belmont homes
are primarily historic and mostly dating from 1900's to 1870's.
Brick and clapboard, Queen Anne-style.
Here's a
fun video we made of Charlottesville's Belmont
District
Belmont is in a world of its own which makes it
fun and unique. 5 years ago it was a poor blue collar area of
Charlottesville surrounded by dying industries. But the young and
hip quickly saw the beauty in Belmont real estate
and moved in to make it Charlottesville's coolest address.
Belmont rises from The CSX railways on the north
(buffering the Charlottesville Pavillion and downtown
dirtict) and slopes quickly down to the Rivanna River to the
rear.
In the middle of Belmont on Belmont St are the
commercial areas. Once defunct businesses have risen again. Suh
places as Saxxe, Tapas, La Taz and more to come. The old standards
are still there when you need to shop: The Belmont Market &
Gibson's. The Fox and Spudnuts for the munchies.
Belmont real estate prices are unfortunately
rising so now is a good time to look at a few Belmont homes
for sale before even this area becomes untouchable. Then back to
the hood we'll have to go...
Call us to go see a few homes, it
would be our pleasure...
